On the Road

6:30 a.m. Wake up. Another day of sleeping in late, if you could call it that. But we do have 12 Mi to cover today.

7:30 a.m. We're at a coffee shop to charge up.

8:00 a.m. On the way.

11:00 a.m. Shoes off and socks off. At 6.5 mi in. And taking a snack break.

1:00 p.m. Another break. 2 miles to go.

2:15 p m. Check in.

Weatherwise it was a beautiful day. Temperatures stayed in the '70s and we had some slight cloud cover. Unfortunately, my left foot was acting up and that kind of put a drag on the day. All kinds of varying terrain from pavement to unmanaged trail to agricultural farm roads with those three to 4-in stones, which were a killer for me today.

Meaningful Moment

Bad mood today.

Left foot was in agony due to a callus that kept stepping on the unavoidable 3 - 4 inch rocks on the dirt roads today. No pain issue at all on asphalt or sandy roads.

Random Thought of the Day

And the town we are in was giving me a bad vibe. Not their fault, but the bands for the town festival to celebrate summer were playing all head banging music or rap. Not Spanish at all. I realized that's an infliction of my culture on theirs.
